Sufism
Sufism or, Mystical Islamic belief and practice in which Muslims seek to find the truth of divine love and knowledge through direct personal experience with the Almighty.Islamic Mysticism is called ‘Tassawuf ‘
( literally to “dress in wool” ) in Arabic but it has been called Sufism in Western Languages since the early 19th Century. The word probably refers to the garment of Wool which was the coat of the early Islamic Ascetics. The Sufi Movement grew as a counterweight to the increasing worldliness of the expanding Muslim Community. Sufism has played a very important role in the formation of Muslim Society. Sufis have been responsible for large scale Missionary activity and in the spread of Islam throughout the world.

According to the concept of Sufism as explained by Hazrat Dr.Syed Shah Khusro Hussaini Rh. Service towards Humanity is considered to be the highest and the best characteristic in Sufi belief. Sufism teaches that Humanity is like a body. If one part of the body is hurt or suffers, the entire body aches. Sufism teaches man to be humane and to respect the feelings and commitments of other humans.
